Rainbow Acan echinata

Acan Echinata is a colorful large polyp stony coral known for its bold texture, fleshy encrusting growth, and dramatic reef aquarium color. It often displays orange, red, green, yellow, purple, or multicolor patterns with defined ridges and visible mouths. Compared to puffier Acan-style corals, Acan Echinata usually has a flatter, more rugged appearance, making it a strong choice for hobbyists who want an eye-catching LPS coral with intense color and structure.

Care Guide
Acan Echinata does best with moderate lighting, moderate indirect flow, and stable reef aquarium parameters. Place it on lower to middle rockwork and acclimate it slowly to brighter lighting to avoid stress or color loss. Provide enough flow to keep debris from settling, but avoid strong direct current. This coral can be aggressive toward nearby corals, so give it plenty of space from chalices, favias, favites, and other LPS corals. Occasional target feeding with small meaty foods or coral foods can support growth and coloration.
